A Saturday Morning at the Horse Ranch | Archer Family | Jacksonville Family Photographer

Watching kids interact with animals has always been a favorite of mine!  This session became particularly meaningful for this family since they were planning to move to Atlanta just a couple months later. While in the Jacksonville area, they would spend several days a week at HHH Ranch, where their kids learned to ride horses.  Lily and Freckles were the ones they trained with and you could sense the sweet connection they had with this family. The ranch cats got some love, too. I loved documenting the tender and silly moments of this day and was grateful to witness such a precious time for them. While it was part of their weekly routine, there were so many little looks, emotions, and interactions that would seem "normal" since it's what they always did, but I approach my sessions like a treasure-hunt, looking for the beauty in the seemingly normal things.  I found so much of it during our morning at the ranch!
