This family. This birth. So much emotion. Julie and her husband José decided to transfer to Full Circle Women’s Care during her 37th week of pregnancy. They wanted to try for a VBAC, and had heard that Full Circle was the perfect practice to go with. With having 2 prior cesareans, this VBAC meant so much to them. This was the birth story they were hoping for.

They arrived at the hospital on the evening of February 9th and things were moving slowly at first. Suddenly and unexpectedly in the afternoon on the next day, everything sped up and I got the call to come in. Julie and José had decided to wait to find out the gender. They have two little girls and were beyond elated to finally have their first little boy! Baby Luca was brought into this world through his amazingly strong mama and sheer joy filled the room the moment he was born! Sweet support and care were provide by their doula, Vonda Boyd, and midwife, Lauren Hontz, along with the wonderful nurses at St. Vincent’s Southside. Loved documenting this incredibly beautiful story!
