The Birth Story of Daniel Edward | Jacksonville Birth Photographer

What a joy-filled birth this was! I loved coming alongside my friend and fellow doula, Natalie, to document the birth of her son, Daniel. She had the best birth team - her husband, mom, sisters, and her daughter, along with doulas Kahla (Beloved Birth & Beyond Collective) and Paige (The Chiropractic Doula), and her midwife, Rebecca (Sweet Grace Midwifery). In between Natalie’s surges, there was so much laughter. She braved through the intensity with such peace and strength, knowing she would get to meet her little one soon.

Natalie wrote about her birth experience here, and I love how she describes the joy and empowerment she felt when Daniel finally emerged. Their daughter watched her little brother be born with such sweet curiosity, and as soon as he was here, Natalie and Brian had tears spilling onto their cheeks. I had a front row seat to Natalie’s surge of joy after such an intense struggle, and it was such a beautiful thing to witness. Seeing that transformation might be my favorite part of what I do!
