The Birth Story of Jordan Leilah | Jacksonville Birth Photographer

Loved getting to document this swift and sweet home water birth with Midwife Tara. Jackie was incredible as she worked through each surge that was bringing her baby down. She listened to worship music and gathered strength from the support of her husband, Salim, and her mother, as they reassured her every step of the way. At one point, Jackie said “I can’t do this”, but she did… and beautifully so! Jordan Leilah finally arrived and joy filled the room! Soon after, her big brothers got to meet their baby sister and they were utterly fascinated with her tiny hands and toes. The connection in this family is strong and something I noted in our short time together. Grateful to have been a part of such an incredible, soul-filling day!
