The Birth Story of Sadie Lucille | Jacksonville Birth Photographer

My dear friend and fellow birth worker, Dallas, called me early in the morning exclaiming “It’s baby time!”. Knowing how quickly her last baby came, I threw on some clothes and flew out the door! I walked in to see her husband, Dave, supporting her with counter-pressure, as the rest of the birth team was also arriving. After about 30 minutes more of laboring around their home, Dallas’s contractions were getting stronger and closer together, so she decided to get into the birth pool. Within a few moments, her water broke and she felt the urge to push. Little Sadie was born swiftly and beautifully, all pink and bright-eyed. One of the sweetest parts of this birth was seeing Dallas’s initial shock as she lifted Sadie out of the water, and then a few seconds later, her HUGE reaction once she truly realized that her baby girl was finally in her arms!

Everyone was so excited! Dave was right next to Dallas, and together, they soaked in the baby bliss. Siblings, Alexis and Gavin, welcomed their new little sister with huge smiles, and Dallas’s parents were filled with joy at the sight of their newest granddaughter. All of us on the birth team were elated for our friend who birthed with such incredible strength and beauty. This was such a happy birth to be a part of!
