Joy and strength filled the atmosphere as this mama labored and brought her sweet baby girl into this world. Her mother served as her doula and she provided constant hands-on support, with hip-squeezes and encouraging words. Her husband, Jamie, worked behind the scenes preparing the birth pool and checking on the other children. Alexis moved from early to active labor quite quickly, and with one strong push, her baby’s head emerged. As her baby was fully born, Midwife Sharon of Fruitful Vine guided her to rest on her mama’s chest. Alexis announced the gender, and smiles were shared among us all. Moments later, their children came excitedly down the stairs to meet their baby sister. They were enamored from the first moment they saw her.
