The Birth Story of Boone | Jacksonville Birth Photographer
This sweet baby had a beautiful, whirlwind birth! Serving as my dear friend’s doula, and her photographer, I got the call to join them in the morning. Her contractions were consistently coming, so it was definitely baby-time! DeeAnna handled them amazingly. She and her husband, Daniel, took a little walk and the contractions began coming quicker and lasting longer, so they made the decision to head to the hospital. She kissed her little girl good-bye and we headed out. Arriving at the hospital, we went through valet parking. Someone ran out with a wheelchair, as he could tell it was needed! The look on his face was priceless! We moved as fast as we could to get her to the labor and delivery unit. Upon arrival, she needed to be assessed, so we waited. DeeAnna was in transition during her assessments, and after a little while, Daniel and I finally got the “ok” to go back to support her.
DeeAnna’s plan was to get an epidural, but the baby was coming too quickly, so she wasn’t able to. She did an incredible job of working through the pain and bringing her sweet boy into this world. We were all so proud of her and she was in disbelief that she just had birthed her baby completely naturally. Her body was made for this and it was a beautiful thing to witness! We encouraged her through the pain, and celebrated with her when she achieved this incredible birth! Boone had made it, and the room was filled with complete joy!
I was so grateful to be a part of this transformational day for DeeAnna and Daniel! See their precious story below.
