The Birth Story of Arya | Jacksonville Birth Photographer
I love getting to reconnect with old friends. Eryn and I have known each other since junior high school, but lost touch over the years. I was so happy to run into her at a party years ago, and we picked right up with our friendship. We’ve seen each other go through a lot and it was a beautiful thing to be alongside her for the birth of her baby girl. Getting to see the connection between her and her husband, Ben, was a lot of fun to watch. Their happiness filled the room.
I joined Eryn early in the morning at their home, and Ben was awesome with the hip squeezes to help alleviate some of the discomfort. She was having contractions pretty steadily and decided it was time to go to the hospital. Eryn had the sweetest nurse who got her all settled in quickly and compassionately. Her contractions were coming faster and stronger as she relaxed, and it wasn’t long before it was time to welcome sweet Arya into this world.
Midwife Lauren of Full Circle Women’s Care was warm and attentive with Eryn and helped her bring her baby down. She pushed very effectively and Arya made her grand entrance. She was brought up straight into Eryn’s arms, and joy and relief overwhelmed her as Arya cried for the first time. Ben was right by her side and elated to meet his baby girl. I loved getting to be a part of their story, as their friend, doula, and photographer. Enjoy these precious photos that follow.
